Michigan e-Library (Mel)
Libby by Overdrive
We have the ability to borrow books from other libraries, at no cost to our patrons! Mel is a borrowing/lending service with over 400 participants across the state of Michigan; last year, they celebrated their 20 year anniversary!
So, if we don’t have the item you are looking for, there’s a good chance another library will have it. Patrons can place requests for items themselves, or ask one of our staff members – we’d be happy to place the request for you. Typically, patrons can expect to receive their requested item(s) in about a week.
Read ebooks and magazines, or listen to audio books with Libby, a free app by Overdrive.
Thousands of items are available at no cost through our library co-op, White Pine Library Cooperative! Plus, we have borrowing privileges with a dozen other co-ops!

After downloading the Libby App,
Add Your Card:
– Go to MENU > Add Library
– Search for our library by name, city, or ZIP code
– Tap SIGN IN WITH MY CARD
– Enter your library card number
– Add additional libraries by repeating these steps,
selecting WPLC – Thompson Home Public Library (Linked Card)
